General Yard Work

Covers a lot of tasks! Here are the main ones I remember, but I’m probably forgetting some..

• Weeding, Digging, Mulching, Raking, Leaf blowing

• Lawn mowing, Edging, Weed whacking

• Hedge trimming

• Flower, Bulb and Tree planting

Building Raised Flower/Vegetable Beds

I’ve built many raised beds from decking and 4x4 posts, and they work really well. Usually either 2 or 3 boards high, and up to 16 feet long if you want (a few have been 10-12 feet but most are 4-6 feet long).

In the bottom I recommend spraying the grass, then stapling in two layers of weed barrier so that nothing grows up into your raised bed. You also can fill the bottom with cardboard or whatever else you have lying around.

Then mulch, and raised bed topsoil to finish.

Holiday Lights on Houses and Trees

Starting in October each year, it’s Holiday Lights time! I can string lights on your house, but some amazing effects can be had by putting cafe lights across your backyard. Trees can be wrapped all the way up their trunk and branches.

After the Holidays, I’ll be back to remove the lights and wrap them up safe for next year.

Clean and Fix Those Gutters

Your gutters need cleaning annually if you don’t have any gutter guards. I’ve cleaned gutters on over 200 houses!

I lay a tarp first to catch any debris and keep your yard tidy, then blow/wash the gutters out (checking they slope correctly), clean and check the downspouts, and take pictures before and after so you can see what I did up there. 😁

If you need gutter or splash guards, I can do that too.

Assembling or Building “Stuff”

I’m happy to come over and assemble your new Play set, Trampoline, Porch swing, and even your Ikea furniture - beds, desks, chairs, etc.

No-one wants to read those instructions - let me help!
